Our 32nd year in Costa Rica was a complete success. Linda and I had a total of 38 clients over a 2 week period at our usual “Summer” fishing grounds in the Northern Pacific region of Costa Rica. The weather was perfect, calm seas, no rain, and plenty of Big Game Fish. Our group released a total of 92 Pacific Sails, averaging 110 lbs each – we also had a strong Marlin bite.

We released a total of 5 Marlin, both Black and Blue. Bobby Borek of Homestead Florida finally got his Black Marlin, a beauty weighing in around 250 lbs on the last day, in the last hour! Bobby and his “crew” have fished with us a half dozen times and on this trip he got the bite he was waiting for, a Pacific Black Marlin. Congratulations Bobby!

The big fish goes to a threesome, Terry & Jamie Ogles, along with my wife Linda, who took turns fighting a charging Monster Blue Marlin that hammered a Kona head on an 80 wide. After 2.5 hours the three anglers shared the honors of releasing to fight again an astounding 750 pound Blue Marlin, the largest Blue that our Captain Pablo had caught on rod and reel in his 35 year career. Congratulations to these folks!

Eric Brady of Tallahassee, along with his party, got into the Big Wahoos over near the famous Bat Islands and caught 3 with the largest weighing in at 60 lbs! Every angler on these trips got to release a Pacific Sailfish.

Great weather, great fishing, and a great time in Costa Rica, all this for $1895! Call about our next planned adventure in Costa Rica scheduled to take place January 12-17, 2012, in Quepos.
